St. Xavier High School bought the property for $506,000 in fall 2000. "It was a defensive buy for us," Paul Zook, director of public relations at St. Xavier, said in an Enquirer article. In March 2001, almost all of the remaining structures, including the chapel, were torn down. The site is now occupied by a baseball field, a practice soccer field, and a parking lot.
